what is guessgana?
guessgana is a free song guessing game. you hear a tiny 0.1 second clip of a hindi song and have to name it. each round reveals a little more of the track, and the earlier you guess, the more points you earn.
how do i play?
pick a difficulty tier and a song starts playing. type the name of the song in the search box and pick the matching suggestion. if you are not sure, skip to hear a longer clip, but the points decrease every time you move to a longer clip.
how are points and difficulty tiers decided?
each tier (easy, medium, hard, expert, impossible) is a harder pool of songs. within a round you earn 100 points on the first 0.1s clip, then 80, 60, 40 and 20 as the clips get longer. streak bonuses build as you keep guessing correctly.
do i need to make an account?
no. guessgana works without signing up, and your score and progress are kept locally on your device.
is guessgana free?
yes, guessgana is completely free to play.
can i share a level with a friend?
yes. when you finish a round you can share the exact level, and your friend can try to beat it. the shared link can be played right away.
why does a song sometimes not appear again?
we avoid repeating songs you have already played so that you keep seeing fresh ones. a song you just tried stays out of the rotation for a few minutes, and we refresh the catalogue regularly.
where does the audio come from?
the short previews come from apple music, used under their preview terms, so the clips are licensed previews of the original tracks.
